View Full Version : Bad Taste Jokes (That Are Just On The Right Side Of The Invisible Line Of Coarseness)

I chanced across this joke today and although slightly risque - shades of Graham Norton or the League Of Gentlemen I hope - I thought I would inflict it upon you.
Feel free to post witty ripostes involving tumbleweed.
"My girlfriend - an English teacher - broke off our engagement recently, citing inappropriate use of the colon."
That's worthy of Round the Horne – whose protean cast of characters included a bus conductress who threw a young man off the bus for asking her how far he could go for sixpence.

I have a ROUND THE HORNE Cd in my car. This is one of their outstanding 'Julian & Sandy' jokes:
HORNE: Will you take my case?
JULIAN: Well, it depends on what it is. We've got a criminal practice that takes up most of our time.
HORNE: Yes, but apart from that — I need legal advice.
[For US TLOers, 'Julian & Sandy' were two camp characters played by Hugh Paddick and Kenneth Williams, whose forte was the double-entendre.]
