Excellent choice, GSC! This is one of my favorites, that is I think it might be should my mind ever manage to valuate and sort the many passages I fancy. I have long had this one highlighted and I am forced to re-read it upon each passing glance. If you remain silent and still, you can hear this song of despair emanate from all existence.

sadly, i have not read that story. however, i hope to correct this omission very soon...

the quote reminds me of one of my first LSD experiences. it felt like a waking dream and that night I was dreaming some conversation with god. i can't remember just how or why, but he imparted a great wisdom to me that i will never forget: everybody suffers.
