“Some of us, we were about a dozen in all, blamed ourselves and our own idiocy as soon as we arrived in that place which one neatly dressed old gentleman immediately dubbed the 'nucleus of nowhere.' This same gentleman, who a few days before had announced to several persons his abandonment of poetry writing due to the lack of what he considered proper appreciation of his innovative practice of the 'Hermetic lyric,' went on to say that such a place as the one in which we found ourselves was exactly what we should have expected, and probably what we idiots and failures deserved. We had no reason to expect anything more, he explained, than to end up in the dead town of Crampton, in a nowhere region of the country - of the world, in fact - during a dull season of the year that was pinched between such a lavish and brilliant autumn and what promised to be an equally lavish and brilliant wintertime. We were trapped, he said, completely stranded for all practical purposes, in a region of the country, and of the entire world, where all the manifestations of that bleak time of year, or rather its absence of manifestations, were so evident in the landscape around us, where everything was absolutely stripped to the bone, and where the pathetic emptiness of forms in their unadorned state was so brutally evident.”

CADABRA RECORDS: "The Tsalal" by Thomas Ligotti
Feb 23, 2024 - 3:00 PM - by dr. locrian

This Cadabra Records Ligotti double album, to me, with astonishing art by Grady Gordon, is the most aesthetically pleasing work they've produced to date. Yes, I'm biased. But dear Yog, this is gorgeous.

"ON SALE NOW! The Tsalal by Thomas Ligotti 2x LP set. Read by Jon Padgett and scored by Chris Bozzone. Liner notes by Michael Cisco. Packaged in a triple panel gatefold sleeve with art by Grady Gordon. Oversees customers can purchase through Psilowave. We have less than 100x copies to go around, so don’t sleep on this incredible production!!"

If you really want to know Ligotti's take on all things TSALAL, buy this. It begs to be heard read aloud.

Buy here if in the states.

Buy here if overseas (only 4 left!)

Nightlands
Mar 13, 2024 - 11:27 PM - by bendk

"We’re soon to launch a brand new magazine we’re calling Nightlands. Each issue is dedicated to a corresponding book. Our very first issue is themed after the Ligotti and Trenz screenplays and is only available through purchase of Michigan Basement. Each issue will average between 24 to 36 pages and will be sold for printing costs, included in the price of our books. Every few issues will be collected and expanded with additional material and sold individually as single volumes. In the near future we have titles by Mark Samuels, Matthew M. Bartlett, Thomas Ligotti, T. E. D. Klein, H. P. Lovecraft with more to come, so you can only imagine how fun this magazine is going to be. Shown is cover art by Joe Keinberger and back cover art by Dave Felton."

TEATRO GROTTESCO, Italian Edition

I know this book has long been published, but I can't believe I never shared an image of my copy. The banner that comes with it translates thus:

“The author who made True Detective a success with his nightmares"
