I'll mention 2 other tables you might enjoy: Aperture Science; this is highly amusing table with interesting gameplay based on the "evil AI" theme and Half-life style government paranoia. Link: http://www.pinball-originals.com/dlo...e&file_id=1173

Although not an exceptionally intricate or ambitious table, I found Halloween to be a lot of fun also:

Greetings waffles, Don't know if you are a fan of pinball or not, but if you are then I highly recommend checking out the free pinball simulator Future Pinball. Very slick program with a large number high quality tables created by its fan base, an impressive physics modelling engine, and several static and dynamic 3d chase camera modes. Get it here: www.futurepinball.com Here's a pic of the Li II table inspired by Giger's painting of the same name:

And here's the download link for this particular table:

I forgot about that game. It took me a few tries but I got the hang of it eventually. I guess you'll be knocking me off of that top score. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. Happy gloating

120K on "13 Days in Hell"... Wow. That's some score. As yet I've not been able to do much better than 20k, and I've probably played 10+ times already. Well done! Hoping the death metal keeps you busy for a while, going to need some time to get good at this one (cursed gun sight always moves like you're drunk for all the guns but one - that can't be right, surely there is no alcohol in hell ).

Steve Hackett was probably my favorite member of Genesis - I remember having tab for Horizon's but not getting very far with it. I really like the first live Genesis album (Watcher of the Skies and Musical Box being my favorite tracks). Lately all I've been listening too is black/death metal - thanks to the Off the Radar Metal Recommendations thread. It's still keeping me off the games thread Cheers!

Thanks for the Pete Sinfield site. My favorite KC tracks have been the collectors club releases (Robert Fripp has been remastering bootlegs). Fripp described the KC ethos as trying to be like a jazz band that "just" goes on stage and improvises. I agree that there's a lot of KC that I don't like, but when they do hit a groove, it's magical. I also like Robert Fripp's tongue in cheek self-seriousness. There's one track from a collectors club release (concert date 1970 or 71) where for an encore they do an R&B cover of In the Court of the Crimson King - afterward the singer screams,"There! We did the old stuff. Are you happy!" (or something along those lines).

(cont. from post below...) Here is a site I found yesterday (apprently closely associated with Peter Sinfield, co-founder and member of early incarnations of KC, if you don't already know) that offer's a lot of interesting information about KC, includes a secion about links to Robert W. Chambers "The King In Yellow" (see the 5th icon from the left at the bottom of the page):

(cont. from post below...) In delving further into King Crimson's repertoire I've encountered a degree of disillusionment, i.e. I'm finding there are many songs I have no liking for. Seems much of their more recent material is not so great. But I am still occaisionally discovering tracks here and there that are iPod worthy, and there is no denying that overall KC is some of the best, most interesting "new" music I've heard in a long while. My humble thanks, once again.

I am partly familiar with Genesis' Foxtrot album. Especially enjoy Hackett's Horizons (I play it regularly on my guitar) and parts of Supper's Ready. The rest of the album, except for Watcher of the Skies, is unknown to me as I don't have the album, only those 3 mp3s. Banking on the success of your KC recommendation I will be looking into the other tracks on FT.

Your King Crimson recommendation, which was implicit rather than explicit, is within the comment you left below my TLO interview. No need for embarrassment, I consider my faulty memory one of my defining characteristics.

In all honesty, it was not my intent to confuse you in order to gain an advantage in the arcade. Although, come to think of it, that's not a bad idea. Must file that thought away for future reference >8] Something tells me I should take advantage of any angle that presents itself when dealing with someone as wile E. and guileful as yourself
