I'm taking a break from writing to have a wee snack of apple juice and Cracker Jacks, and thought I'd check my email. I have this google alert thingy that notifies me when people are writing about me on-line, and this alerts me to new friendship requests -- thanx for all of yem! This is filling a huge void, as I once had so many correspondents, and then email came along and it was like I no longer existed, everyone vanish'd. I've just gotten in contact with a very dear old friend, Madame Talbot. Any of you's ever visit her macabre web-site -- it is AMAZING!! She is authentically macabre & decadent and mass cool, one of the greatest artists. She did both of my tattoes. So, whut is this chatbox & stuff and how does it operate? Is it for chatting live with others who are logged in? Pretty amazing, this techno world. Okay, I should return to work, but I might just linger a wee bit longer.

I am a slow learner, and this modern techno age utterly baffles me. Please excuse my lack of knowledge about joining groups, blogging, &c &c. I've been on-line for one week. I've hesitated until now because I thought the web wou'd be addictive (it is) and that it wou'd take me away from working on my next two books (it has). I finally got connected because my editor, S. T. Joshi, hinted how much easier it would be if I were able to e-mail him my new fiction. Up until now I've been using an electric typewriter and Kinko's -- but now I am free of all that.
