Thanks. It simply showcases my obsession with all those mad mavericks and prophets, although I am sure many more could go in there. Michael Cisco has done a similar thing on his blog, which was a partial inspiration. The album might grow like a great tree....

Well, I'm bisexual so I can identify with the gay aspect of Dennis' work to some extent. I'm still very much a big fan of TG, Whitehouse and Current 93... I'd rank all 3 of those in my top ten groups. I used to be fanatically obsessed with Sotos' work and literally read almost everything he wrote up till maybe 2010 or so... then I lost interest in his work and practically gave away my entire Sotos library to a friend. In hindsight I wish I hadn't, as the friend in question eventually lost interest in Sotos as well, and eventually we had a falling out of sorts... I could have made a small fortune selling some of those books on eBay, ha ha. I still do admire Sotos' first fanzine "Pure."

Hello Kevin,Yes, I've been a fan of Dennis' work since 2002, which is the year I read "Closer" (though in retrospect the first thing of his I most likely read was his liner notes for the Sonic Youth "Sister" LP). I began posting on his blog shortly after it began in 2005, and have been online friends with him for some years now (hell, I even send him Christmas cards every year, ha ha). I've only hung out with him once in real life, back in 2011, when a friend and I visited NYC to see him do some readings for his then-released "Marbled Swarm" novel. In some ways I owe a lot to him: he was the first person to ever publish my writing, and was kind enough to write a blurb for my first collection. He's also letting me write a lot of articles for his blog, on topics such as Throbbing Gristle, Whitehouse, Current 93, and Thomas Ligotti (to name a few). As a writer I do rank him very highly.
