Ligotti's Guitars
Does anyone know if or where Ligotti ever discussed his guitars? I don't see him as a traditionalist (Gibsons, Fenders) but I'm betting he's had at least one Fender. I play a 335ES, a Gibson J-45 and a cheap (seventeen hundred bucks) DCPA4 Martin. I may buy a Strat or PRS soon. I'm leaning toward an American Standard Strat.
This would be a great subject for a mini-interview...at least for some axe fanatics. And here's the Master with lessons for the beginner: |

I bet it's a Gestalt model, Symbolique. The whole is greater...

These Chinese 'Martins' are incredible. Good build, tone, playability, looks...and 500 bucks as opposed to 4500. Wonderful.
If you have qualms about trademark infringement just request the Martin name removed and replaced with your own. Then it's as above board as the thousands of other Martin imitations sold legally. Not that they can compare to these. Of course there's always risk. There are duds. But many are stunning in appearance and tone. And price. |

I almost bought an old Mercedes once for restoration and found what looked like a small child's coffin in the trunk. I decided it wasn't the car for me.
