Sanitarium (1998-2002)

Released ten years ago but is still much better then most point and click adventures out there.

Sanitarium is a fine journey to one's nightmares.

Did you play it?

This is the way the World ends

This is the way the World ends
Not with a bang but a Whisper

Re: Sanitarium (1998-2002)

Yes! I got this when it first came out and was blown away by the weirdness of everything. Very cool. Over the years I managed to lose my copy, but now GOG has it so hopefully I'll be returning to the madness soon. For me, the game is much better than what passes for point-and-click these days.

Re: Sanitarium (1998-2002)

I played it some time ago. The journey was very good, but I was disappointed by the ending.

"Tell me how you want to die, and I'll tell you who you are. In other words, how do you fill out an empty life? With women, books, or worldly ambitions? No matter what you do, the starting point is boredom, and the end self-destruction. The emblem of our fate: the sky teeming with worms. Baudelaire taught me that life is the ecstasy of worms in the sun, and happiness the dance of worms."
