Wikipedia writing about 'proper editorial structure' is also somewhat ironic in nature.

Re: D.F. Lewis

This is unacceptable!

Des, I believe the last version of the deleted page can be still read on DeletedWiki:
D. F. Lewis - DeletedWiki

Edit: As for academic sources, I think that I don't have to mention there is an entry on D. F. Lewis in the encyclopedia "Supernatural Literature of the World" ed. by S. T. Joshi and Stefan R. Dziemianowicz.

Re: D.F. Lewis

Quote
LEWIS, D[ESMOND] F[RANCIS] (b. 1948), British writer whose reputation is built almost entirely on (reportedly) more than one thousand weird tales published since 1987, primarily in specialty press magazines. His stories tend to be brief, enigmatic vignettes that elaborate disturbed states of mind or present skewed and fragmented perspectives on ordinary reality, notably "Sponge and China Tea" (Dagon #26, 1989), which became his best known tale after Karl Edward Wagner reprinted it in The Year's Best Horror Stories XVIII (DAW 1990). Lewis has written on conventional supernatural themes, including zombies in a "Front Room" and "Woken with a Kiss" (both in The Ultimate Zombie, ed. Byron Preiss and John Betancourt [Dell, 1993]) and Lovecraftian horrors in "Watch the Whiskers Sprout" (in Cthulhu's Heirs, ed. Thomas M. K. Stratman [Chaosium, 1994]) and "Down to the Boots" (Dagon #26, 1989), but his disjointed and surreal narrative style renders them almost unrecognizable by traditional standards. Typically, his stories invite the reader to presume familiarity with characters or situations introduced before completely undermining expectations. The unpredictablility of his narratives as they unfold abstractions and seeming non-sequiturs conveys an aura of the uncanny, even though genuine expressions of the supernatural in his fiction are rare. Representative collections of his work include The Best of D. F. Lewis (TAL Publications, 1993) and Weirdmonger (Prime, 2003). In 2001, Lewis began editing Nemonymous, a magazine of unusual fiction whose contributors are published anonymously.

It needs to be noted that this entry was composed back in 2005 when the novella Weirdtongue and the novel Nemonymous Night (and other books by DFL) were still not published.
