London Lovecraft Festival

For those in London or the environs:

From the 6th of February to the 11th will run the London Lovecraft Festival. Billed as A Theatrical Celebration of the Work and Mythos of H.P. Lovecraft most of the events look to be at the Etcetera Theatre near my old stomping grounds in Camden.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I can't decide yet but that they have a show billed as 'Genderswitched Mountains of Madness' suggests that it is a very, very very good thing.

Waiting for the moment he delivers the ultimate put-down: 'Derleth was better than you'. Few will know what it means; fewer will care.

Re: London Lovecraft Festival

Had a really great time with S. T. recently, who was as brilliant as always. His in-depth understanding of every aspect of Lovecraft's life continues to astonish me. I have different places for his various editions of Lovecraft. Those nearest my writing table are the delightful LOVECRAFT ILLUSTRATED volumes that he edited for PS Publishing and that are illustrated by Pete Von Sholly. S. T. remains the finest friend I have ever known.

Re: London Lovecraft Festival

So this isn't a convention? I wonder if you could even pull off a more modest version of NecronomiCon in Britain? Maybe not enough relevantly style writers?
