Re: Reggie Oliver
"The Skins" was reprinted in the latest issue of the online horror magazine Nightmare, and in the accompanying author spotlight interview Oliver mentions three forthcoming projects: a new collection from Tartarus titled Holidays from Hell, a novel from Dark Renaissance "about dark goings on in an English cathedral town" and titled The Boke of the Divill, and "a sort of children's book" with sixty full-page illustrations by Oliver, titled The Hauntings at Tankerton Park and How They Got Rid of Them.

Re: Reggie Oliver
I'm afraid not. The children's book is still being written and illustrated, so I would assume that one's a fair way off. He usually has a new collection out every other year, and Flowers of the Sea was a 2013 release, so Holidays from Hell might not be far off, but that's just my guess, not based on anything in the interview.

Re: Reggie Oliver
I believe that when future scholars and critics write about our current era in Weird Fiction, Reggie Oliver will be considered a giant in our field.
One type of weird fiction I'm interested are what are usually called ghost stories, though I would rather say that I'm interested in evil spirit stories. Reggie Oliver's evil spirits stories resonate with me. He is an excellent novelist too. This is from a review I wrote of his novel _The Dracula Papers, Book I The Scholar's Tale_: His novel is sort of a prequel to Bram Stoker's _Dracula_, though this book is the first in a projected series of novels. The first person narrator of this novel is an academic named Dr. Bellorius, nicked named "Doctor Polymathus". He receives a request by the King of Transylvannia to come to the king's land in order to tutor his two sons, Mircea and Vladimir. On his trip to Transylvannia, he takes with him a student from the university who has been dabbling in alchemy, and a dwarf. The trip to Transylvania is filled with adventures--there is an interesting plot development about every 1,000 words. And the adventures don't stop when they are in Transylvannia. In this book, Vladimir, who will become Count Dracula some day, is an adolescent. Vladimir is a good student, shows courage and kindness, and is attractive to women. The book is written in a highly readable style, and was hugely entertaining. It is available in paperback and electronically

Re: Reggie Oliver
Reggie Oliver is a brilliant writer, a great stylist (in the most positive sense of the word). I reviewed his (non-supernatural) novel Virtue in Danger, which was published by Zagava and - it goes without saying - (thus) looks great.
The review is in German, though. I guess doing a google translation may lead to a feeling of metaphysicl dread.

Re: Reggie Oliver
Wait, Dark Renaissance are back but not selling their books from before the shutdown that happened only months ago? I know Dark Regions are selling the old titles but that's weird they wouldn't keep it on the site of the original publisher.
