I have not read anything by Cisco yet. What do you recommend as a starter?

I've only read The Divinity Student and The Great Lover (loved this one), plus the occasional short story (i.e. "visiting maze" in Dadaoism, "the secret of the universe" in Grimscribe Puppets.) He's definitely an amazing writer and I'll be getting more of his work as time and money allows it.

I'd suggest marijuana as a good gateway drug. One should stay away from the Cisco. Purchase all of the books, but read none of them.
Simply thinking about reading them can have an adverse effect on one's psyche. Become made of pages.

While I was topping up my amazon wishlist I discovered that the only print copies of Divinity Student and The Golem go for nutty prices. Someone please bring these out again.
