The Horror Anthology of Horror Anthologies
THE HORROR ANTHOLOGY OF HORROR ANTHOLOGIES This book is due to be published at the beginning of July. At first, orders will be to me direct. [Edit: This is no longer appropriate: Any image of the book should be avoided on the internet] until the book is available on Amazon etc. which should be later in the year. Review copies will be issued on this understanding. The book direct from myself will be costed in GBP, i.e. a total of £10.50 UK, £12 air mail other EU, £13.50 air mail elsewhere, by PayPal. 324 pages, perfect-bound paperback. 114,000 words. Twenty original stories (see contents list on the ha of ha site) Three photo-images by Tony Lovell (including front and back cover). It will cost nothing extra at this stage to have it signed by the editor and author of ‘Nemonymous Night’. des (dflewis48@hotmail.com) | |||||||||||

Re: The Horror Anthology of Horror Anthologies
Looks like a fine anthology, and I do love the concept. I'd order a copy, but I've had to cut my book-buying radically back.

In spite of the above post, I've acquired a copy of The HA of HA, and my review of it is here.

Re: The Horror Anthology of Horror Anthologies
I received my copy of this next week, and it is third in my list of books to be read next. I'm quite looking forward to this. I'll try not to read any review of this until I've read it.

I am in the midst of writing a variation on a 'real-time review' of all the stories in the HA of HA here:

Re: The Horror Anthology of Horror Anthologies
Ah, this should be quite interesting to read. And can I just say that I have recently finished reading this anthology and found it to be a veritable candy box of horror anthology themed delicacies. The originality of some of the stories was just dazzling. And thank you for introducing me to some new writers, Des. I am particularly interested in reading more by Mike O'Driscoll.

Re: The Horror Anthology of Horror Anthologies
Mike O'Driscoll's Unbecoming is one of the best Elastic Press collections. Tony Richards' Going Back is another. A splendid imprint that closed simply because the editor wanted his life back. Mike's story in The HA of HA is breathtaking. He's one of those writers who seems to have more going on than the reader's mind can hold.

Re: The Horror Anthology of Horror Anthologies
I actually ordered a copy of Unbecoming the day I finished reading "The Rediscovery of Death". I'm really looking forward to reading it. I have never encountered Elastic Press before this. Too bad they closed up shop before I discovered them. Nevertheless, I'm curious to look into what they published while they were still in existence.
