Toru Takemitsu (1930-1996)
A music genius from Japan. He lived as a creator of music characterized by the relationship of nature and human being and the duality of eastern and western culture. He has created the music and sound effects for Kobayashi's "Kwaidan".

Takemitsu is one of many 'classical' composers of the 20th and 21st centuries I love. I rarely remember titles of pieces but the music stays inside me.
