I'm not sure if this is a happy song. It sounds like a man in deep pain trying to lift himself with a vision of happiness. Maybe that's perfect for a Happy Songs thread at TLO! This is one of my favorite Van Morrison songs, really a beautiful song from the album Astral Weeks. The song does have a lightness to it; there probably is a current of happiness in it.

-It's questionable whether Radiohead has even had a 'happy song' per se, but these come pretty close.
