Actually, I think most people are surprisingly decent human beings, esp. when you consider the amount of suffering in even the 'average' life.
I've been on the receiving end of too many acts of kindness to be a total cynic. Women, in particular, have treated me well, probably far better than I deserved. I'll never fully understand why but I'm grateful for it. Hey, Ben! You started this thread so what about you? Are you on the side of the Angels, Sir? I don't think we're necessarily talking about saints here; but just the kind of human being who, if they see someone's fallen, will give them a helping hand and not a kick in the side. | |||||||||||
