HPL and TL inspired poetry collection
hey guys, i've just self-published my first collection of poetry and short prose. ironically, its title is the subject line from an older post on this forum: Alien Demons, Swords and Magic. i guess i liked it so much i used it for the book.
anyways, Lovecraft and Ligotti are my biggest literary influences. so perhaps if you dig both of those and don't mind poems, you might want to try it? the only profit i make off this book is the further corruption of my soul. so enjoy... available here from Lulu.com: http://www.lulu.com/browse/book_view.php?fCID=198794 DDD 666

Re: HPL and TL inspired poetry collection
a couple sample poems from Alien Demons, Swords and Magic... hopefully these will give people a peek at what my poetry is like. if people buy my book (only $7, as cheap as i can possbily make it - no royalty for me that is) that will encourage me to keep writing. thank you, Darrick
Sunset Stream Sunset symbols the color of radiant glass Find their way to Sha-la from Yidathroth. Why are the glyphs of dusk so conscious? Drowning the sleepers in alabaster liquid, Their delicate mouths growl like a subhuman Animal. The red grease paint of the clowns Is smeared up the wall by claws of Satanis. He is the one and the only who retains His Shiny gore-red, eyes bulging, Winged, window-vaulted being. Vegetables collect around the time corridors. Botanical crystalline rainbow faces Harsh, angular, unconscious, wicked. Streaming sunsets leave their glass housing. Opaque writers plying their electronic, violet, pale Fingers upon fiendish journals of circus-fed Madmen. What are we scribbling under The guise of a baleful mythos? Under the sinister Surprise of a clown painted abstraction… Unsightly Such a black, seething Abyss Held much for us, our people In crimson haze K’thana Deep we were exiled and deep we Settled into our new universe – Yidathroth Now I see where nightmares come Now I feel why my skin crawls The reptilian insects from our land and soul Have followed us home to where We always belonged. Such Hell, godlike toads of ichorous infamy Squirming and breathing a blue green Illumination into our dead frames. Evil we are lest we travel too far. Foreign fields where heads aren’t harvested, Tentacles do not wave, swords and wands, Pentagrams and tridents vanish before The altruism of blindness. Each race is all things groping through Lightless corridors, gulphs of strange time Where dark red blood laps at the soft beach In a cruel world of twisted pleasure. Each being perverse and unique to their own fetish. Cry degeneration and let slip the hopes of humanity. We are much more. Fiends.

Hey Darrick. It sounds like you've been hanging out with those Teatro people again. Looking forward to getting a copy of your newest work.

Re: HPL and TL inspired poetry collection
hey nonsense, yeah the poetry and music lyrics do coincide. although the former doesn't have much rhyme or meter and the latter does.
i can only hope to align myself with the Teatro stuff until they find me and do as they will... http://www.lulu.com/browse/book_view.php?fCID=198794 thanks for the support. DDD 666
