Exclusive TLO Offer
Dear All:
I am in the throes of a house move at the moment and will be unable to access the promised copies of VITTORINI let alone post them for the next few days. However, please be assured that everybody who wanted a copy will get one, although I may be unable to post them out until after the new school term starts (beginning of next week). Please accept my sincere apologies but summer holidays are often the busiest time of the year for me without even factoring in the house move. TTFN, Christopher Barker |

Re: Exclusive TLO Offer
No problem. I'm grateful to you for making the offer in the first place, as I never could've paid the other exorbitant prices for a copy of Cardinal Vittorini. By a strange coincidence, I recently won a copy of Hitler Symphonies for a halfway decent price. I'm looking forward to finally being able to read Reggie Oliver's earlier works once these books arrive.

No problem, (I'm willing to wager Vittorini will still arrive before Madder Mysteries)
You two were looking at that Ebay auction as well? | |||||||||||

Re: Exclusive TLO Offer
How ignorant would I seem if I asked what VITTORINI is?

Ha! Small world here. On the one hand, I'm somewhat saddened to have competed for this book with fellow TLOers. On the other, I'm glad to see a good deal of the competition on E-Bay for Oliver's books are people who truly appreciate his work, and not just book hustlers looking to resell for profit.

Re: Exclusive TLO Offer
To The Amazingly Patient & Wonderful Members Of The TLO:
I am now in a position to mail the very slightly flawed copies of VITTORINI as promised. I shall endeavour to post all of them before the weekend. Post should take about 2 days within the UK; one week to Europe; 7 - 10 days for the States. That I am now able to post them is partly down to my not having choked to death last night when re-watching (yet again) the hilarious 'Withnail & I'. The scene where Withnail and Marwood plead with a farmer for some wood and food always has me in hysterics, particularly the line: "We've gone on holiday by accident." TTFN, JK |
