The PayPal glitch seems to have been sorted.

Re: Sorcery and Sanctity: A Homage to Arthur Machen

The table of contents appears more than intriguing! I think this will be one of the literary highlights of the year for me. I've been eagerly anticipating this since it was first announced. I've pre-ordered it, of course, and wish I didn't have to wait until sometime in November to actually get my hands on the copy! I'm sure the wait will be worth it, but I am ever so impatient!

Re: Sorcery and Sanctity: A Homage to Arthur Machen

Dear Freyasfire. Having just finished reading my advance copy of Sorcery and Sanctity, and at the risk of adding further to your agony of anticipation, I must say that this really is a superlative anthology and one that any collector of Machenalia would delight in.

To be sure, the classic Machenian themes are all evoked (bedsit mystics, grail quests, seekers of ecstasy and sin, strange goings-on in the woods, visionary cityscapes and divine apparitions on the Western Front), but with such enthusiasm, originality, and (lightly worn) scholarship that each contribution feels like a true labour of love.

Standout tales for me were the Valentine and Samuels – so pitch-perfect in tone that they could be channeling the spirit of Machen himself!

The limitation is very small (100 copies) so for anyone who’s interested I would get an order in sooner rather than later.
