Will this ever be reprinted?
Just curious.
I'd love to read the story about the oldest man in New England - H.P. Lovecraft!

Re: Will this ever be reprinted?
I, too, would like to read this rare and intriguing volume...
I have often wished to start a publishing venture purely to publish things that I would like to be able to read myself, regardless of their commercial viability or general appeal. As soon as money becomes no object, I plan to get right on it!

Re: Will this ever be reprinted?
Sadly, I don't think there are any plans to do this right now. I asked Tom Ligotti this very question last year. He told me that there were no plans at all to reprint this story collection. Maybe someone else has more up to date information, but as of mid 2009 there were no plans.
Part of me holds out hope that Subterranean Press will include these tales in one of the definitive collections scheduled to appear (though we know it won't be in the SOADD reissue due this spring). But this is purely up to TL and the publisher, I would guess. TAROVFAOGT commands some hefty prices through the internet and on E-bay to this day. It always goes for at least $150-200 on Ebay, where things are a bit cheaper than static markets like Abebooks and others. And that's just the paperback edition. Any of the hardcovers will start at a good $300-500. I only have a sense of this because I spend a near obsessive amount of time checking online markets for certain authors. You can read some of the Agonizing Resurrection vignettes if you manage to get your hands on a copy of Crypt of Cthulhu #68. The Lovecraftian pieces appear in there. I'm sure a few others were also reprinted in old, rare small press magazines before they were collected together in this book. And a few other vignettes have seemingly been reprinted in mass market horror books. For instance, I recall seeing "The Heart of Count Dracula, Descendant of Attila..." reprinted in 100 Vicious Vampire Stories, a cheap book put out by Barnes & Noble.

Re: Will this ever be reprinted?
I will try to find that Crypt of Cthulhu edition, starrysothoth, and thanks for the information. I used to (when I had a little money) spend many hours researching the prices of hard to find books on the internet (addall, bookfinder, eBay, etc.) and even scour the "brick and mortar" used bookstores in my area. Once in a blue moon I'd find a real bargain, and the rest of the time it was what the market dictated. I waited too long with this one though.
