Yes, I'll never forget Millennium. Better than The X-Files (which I still enjoy) in every regard, including theme tune.

As I said in another thread, Ligotti would have been a much better fit writing for that show than X-Files, which was safer and more accessible. Millennium was the darker and deeper show, even if it never really seemed to know what it was. Each season was a different show.

Am excited for The X-Files' revival purely because Darin Morgan is back on board.

Re: 'True Detective' Season 2 News: HBO Crime Drama Heading To The Big Screen?

This has been a good reminder that I really need to check out Hannibal. Hell, a friend even sent me season 1 on DVD, saying it was right up my alley. Not sure why I haven't gotten around to watching it yet... one of these days. I do enjoy the Thomas Harris novels as well (and admire the fact that he's in no way prolific: unusual for a bestselling author)... even loved Hannibal Rising, which probably puts me in a minority.

The funniest thing about Thomas Harris is that his website hasn't updated since 2007. There's literally NOTHING on there about the Hannibal TV show even. The most recent news update is for the release of the paperback version of Hannibal Rising!

Thomas Harris makes Thomas Ligotti look like a publicity junkie. He hasn't given an interview since 1976, well before he was even famous.

I would watch anything with Mads Mikkelsen.

About Millennium: A book called Back to Frank Black was published in 2012 by Fourth Horseman Press and includes essays by Chris Carter, Frank Spotnitz and Lance Henriksen, among others. Also, a comic book series based on the show is being published by IDW Comics.

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

After seeing this, I am still not convinced to watch Season Two:

This is great, even if I had a lot of issues with True Detective:

Also, isn't it funny that Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, a show about crimes of a sexual nature, was created by a guy called DICK WOLF?

My expectations for season 2 are dismally low. As such, since the bar is very low I don't expect to be disappointed

on true detective season 2: I'll watch it. haven't decided if i will wait for netflix to pick it up as I've been doing with the seasons of Game of Thrones or just buy it on itunes for a binge watch as I did with TD season 1. the trailers have knives and fire and people getting upset over things. looks entertaining enough. HBO seems to have their act together on making good shows (or I am just lucky enough to only see the two good ones), so I am willing to give it a try.

also looking forward to Twin Peaks season 3 from Showtime, whenever that comes out. probably will get that via Itunes for the binge watchy before netflix has it, because twin peaks.

I have decided to wait on netflix for Wayward Pines, or just not watch it at all. I saw the first episode on the Fox website, and the big reveal at the end of that episode kinda deflates the whole thing. I blame M Night Shyamalan (also I just haven't forgiven him for that horrid adaptation of the lovely Avatar cartoons).
