Topic Winner What Other Websites Do You Recommend?

Perhaps similar to the ongoing "Recent Reading" thread, I would love to hear what other websites interest or influence TLO members.

For example, I am very fond of "EsoterX" as a never-ending source of curious (nonfiction) tales:

EsoterX | If Monsters Dont Exist, Why Are They Out To Get Me?

And for fiction, I have found the unfortunately-named but comprehensive "Vault of Evil" website an invaluable resource in tracking obscure British horror:

Re: What Other Websites Do You Recommend?

I often visit this blog with horror manga/webtoon/movie posts. She posts mostly content and doesn't do commentary. Spiralling into Horror and Insanity

I read some beautiful essays on Cioran, Schopenhauer, and Leopardi by this guy. I follow him ever since.
Heterodoxia | Heretical topics that challenges orthodox philosophy

Very well read, and he writes essays on numerous authors TLO members will recognize. His most recent is an essay on Clark Ashton Smith.
alien ecologies | I’d rather write about laughing than crying, for laughter makes men human, and courageous.” ―François Rabelais
One of my favorite remains his "E.M Cioran: The Delusions of our Sadness".

"So in the end it remains advisable to accept whatever comes, to behave like an inert mass even if one feels oneself being swept away, not to be lured into a single unneccesary step, to regard others with the gaze of an animal, to feel no remorse, in short to crush with one's own hand any ghost of life that subsists, that is, to intensify the final quiet of the grave still further and let nothing beyond that endure." ---Franz Kafka, Resolutions

Facts in the Case of Alan Moores Providence | Annotations of H.P. Lovecraft Comics

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

Re: What Other Websites Do You Recommend?

Thanks for these great references!

Luciferfell, The Plutonian is great, isn't it?

ToALonelyPeace, These are also wonderful - I was familiar with Alien Ecologies but hadn't visited lately, so thanks - the essay on CA Smith was very welcome! And I will definitely delve deeper into Heterodoxia and Spiralling Into Horror.

Ditto for Miguel1984; I love Alan Moore but hadn't seen this site. Thanks!

Here's another web site that I very much admire, check out his older posts as well. Much obscure but valuable material available.

Re: What Other Websites Do You Recommend?

Really enjoyed the last link (Menace Of Objects).

Fright Site Reviews and Commentary

This is my favourite. It covers a very wide range of things, he has a taste for schlocky trashy stuff and serial killer stories that I mostly don't share but it's full of interesting things I never hear much about elsewhere.
He hasn't covered much of the writers in the recent weird fiction scene but his reviews are nice and succinct. And I think he's more honest than most reviewers covering these genres.

I like to take a look at http://www.anomalist.com/
It is updated every day and there is a range of articles that it links to. It can be hit or miss to find something that interests you but it's worth a regular check.
