I actually visited Unit 731 in 2003 and, despite some tackiness for the benefit of tourists, it does feel haunted.

Horror Café - 1990 - John Carpenter at that time still going strong, Roger Corman - which I respect highly, Ramsey Campbell - in hes endless mediocrity, Lisa Tuttle and Pete Atkins... and of course host - Clive Barker at his prime - together discussing about horror genre and much more. Must watch.

Re: Movie Recommendations

This is by far the best film I've seen in the last five years. I may have mentioned it before, but what's certain is I will keep on mentioning it.

Re: Movie Recommendations

Mark - what kind of movie is this? I don't see any info on IMDB or Amazon. Is it for sale? It seems kind of interesting.

NJ

There's a couple of reviews on IMDB here:

It used to be available online under its original Russian title. Haven't checked lately though.

Re: Movie Recommendations

The 1970s Polish film adaptation of Bruno Schulz's Sanatorium Under The Sign of the Hourglass is up on Youtube I see. The first twenty minutes and the last twenty minutes are pretty grand. I did find the bit in between a bit of a slog though. Unless you speak Polish or can read Spanish subtitles (which luckily I can just about manage) it might be even more of a slog!
