Re: Reggie Oliver

I thought I would bump up this thread to inquire if anyone has heard anything from Ex Occidente about when Oliver's novel Virtue in Danger is going to be published? I know that some TLO members have a news line to the publisher and its proprietor that gives a little more info than what's said on their website.

Also, it would be interesting to know whether or not Oliver has an online presence other than the Black Cathedral site designed by Haunted River? The look of the site is appropriate enough, but it hasn't been updated with news or additional resources on Oliver and his fiction for some time. You would think he might have a Myspace or Facebook page or something along those lines, but I haven't been able to find one.

It would be great to see someone as unique as Oliver with a better online presence. But, I suppose that's ultimately up to his readers, as is the case with the rise of Thomas Ligotti Online. Still, I felt like casting a line out there in case other people know of some website or resource I've missed...the more I re-read of Oliver lately, the more I realize this is a severely underrated talent.

He posts fairly regularly on the All-Hallows Yahoo discussion group, so you could join that if you'd like to interact with him.

Re: Reggie Oliver

I just received the following announcement from Centipede Press!

This 900 page collection of Reggie Oliver’s ghost stories and supernatural fiction contains the entire contents of his first three books, including two that are now scarce and hard to find.

This edition also sports a number of Reggie Oliver’s drawings, many of which are presented for the first time. This is going to be the standard for all of Oliver¹s books: gorgeous design, stunning type work, all of the fiction, a handful of critical essays, oversize format. Each copy is signed by Reggie Oliver. Available in late March or early April.

Cloth, now available for pre-order, $125

Re: Reggie Oliver

This is fantastic news, especialy because the massive volume costs $125 and not $500 as reported previously.

Great news! I was fortunate in picking up a copy of Madder Mysteries last year and really enjoyed the book so I'll be looking forward to this.

Re: Reggie Oliver

I just ordered my copy of Dramas from the Depths. How exciting! I cannot wait to receive this. I don't have any books from Centipede Press, but they look exquisite!

Re: Reggie Oliver

One of the gents on the All_Hallows group posted a note he received from Jerad Walters from Centipede Press mentioning that "Dramas from the Depths" will be shipping next Tuesday, April 6th. But it also went on to say that the price of the book will be increasing to $150 on Monday, April 5th.

Just a heads up. Hopefully someone can confirm.
