TLO Suspended for Server Load Impact
TLO was suspended by the Host Service Provider today for exacting a high load on the server. I have made adjustments to the file system and settings to improve performance and comply with the requests of HostGator. In the event that this cannot be rectified via script settings or service upgrades, TLO will migrate to another Host Service Provider. Any disruption in access will be temporary, I assure you all.

Re: TLO Suspended for Server Load Impact
I don't suppose it helps, but this is the error message I received yesterday:
Forbidden You don't have permission to access /cmps_index.php on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Re: TLO Suspended for Server Load Impact
I was wondering what happened. You can't really trust those hosts that tell you get unlimited space and bandwidth. There is a limit but they don't tell you. It's a big marketing ploy. I don't see how they can get away with it. But I heard a lot of good things about Hostgator

Re: TLO Suspended for Server Load Impact
TLO has been with, and by far the best. However, like most these days they are not very tolerant when it comes to resources. We are on a shared server, therefore if the site demands a lot of processing power, they are not happy. The market is so competitive, I imagine they are cramming as many sites as possible onto each server with the expectation that each one functions in a minimalistic mode of existence. The vBulletin engine that TLO uses, when combined with the mountain of modifications applied, can be a demanding load, it seems. Anyway, the HSP market in general appears to be geared towards offering huge hard drive space and bandwidth while restraining CPU resources to the point that you could never push the data in the first place. Again, not a criticism of HostGator, but the market itself. Their tech support has been flawless, on the rare occasions that I have had to call upon them.

Re: TLO Suspended for Server Load Impact
Judging by the status of resources, it appears that the physical server that TLO resides on has been upgraded or replaced. The resource load could have been stressed due to the status of the hardware involved. Anyway, there is hope that TLO will perform faster from here on out. If you witness any improvements or issues, please let me know.
