Try and track down The Late Breakfasters, it's fantastic! ...The Model is not so good (in my opinion).

I don't know why, but I had the impression that The Late Breakfasters was an autobiographical book.

Re: How much did your Aickman's cost you?

Since this thread has been fairly lively of late, I thought this might be of interest to people (was planning to go and look for the original Aickman thread but it doesn't seem worth it).

It appears Joshi is transcribing and digitizing the text of Aickman's only unpublished novel; Go Back At Once, from the manuscript held in the Bowling Green State University Library collection. No details regarding publication have as been yet been confirmed.

On a more broader topic I think the best thing he ever wrote was his first autobiography; The Attempted Rescue. Though I don't particularly agree with all of his views towards the world and people, it was one of saddest and most melancholy works of non-fiction I have ever read.

They are his complete published short stories. I believe an unpublished story finally appeared in an issue of Wormwood and then there are his two published novels of course. Neither of which i've read.
Yes there is The Fully-Conducted Tour, an unpublished detailed story draft which appeared in Wormwood no.5 .
