Same is, apparently, true of the same publisher's much hyped Count Stenbock collection (even worse as that collection would have been the first chance for us regular mortals to read more of his writing).

Amazon UK currently has Count Stenbock's 'Of Kings and Things' scheduled for relase on '4 May 2018'. As you said though, it is from the same publisher, so I wouldn't put too much trust in that date.

Re: Forthcoming Books

Translated into English for the first time, a gripping short novel about an affair gone wrong, from the acclaimed Japanese author, Yukio Mishima. Set in rural Japan shortly after World War II, The Frolic of the Beasts tells the story of a strange and utterly absorbing love triangle between a former university student, Koji; his would-be mentor, the eminent literary critic Ippei Kusakudo; and Ippei's beautiful, enigmatic wife, Yuko. When brought face-to-face with one of Ippei's many marital indiscretions, Koji finds his growing desire for Yuko compels him to action in a way that changes all three of their lives profoundly. Originally published in 1961 and now available in English for the first time, The Frolic of the Beasts is a haunting examination of the various guises we assume throughout our lives, and a tale of psychological self-entrapment, seduction, and murder.

This would be Kemono no Tawamure (獣の戯れ - The Flirtation of Beasts), okay. Plenty of info on Jap-Wiki page.

About mid-career. This is good news, as long as the translation is at least passable. I shall have to look this up.

Re: Forthcoming Books

I don't know where people are getting the impression that the release of Of Kings and Things has been pushed back indefinitely. Preorders were only opened recently. I wouldn't be surprised if there were further delays, as often happens with small press publishers, but it's definitely happening.

This is excellent news. I am an obsessive reader of Mishima--in English, that is. If only someone would translate Kyoko's House:

( Ky┼Źko no Ie - Wikipedia).

I've been waiting for over twenty years. Come to think of it, I could have learned to read Japanese in that time.
