Yeah, I love that one. Dream-like atmosphere.

Re: Movie Recommendations

I recently rewatched Hellraiser and it is still good. Just don't bother with any of the sequels.

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

Re: Movie Recommendations

I think the second film has some of the best imagery.

I was thinking of mentioning Lets Scare Jessica To Death (another favourite) but I couldn't remember what was supposed to be feminist about it.

There is Wir Sind Die Nacht - 2010 - from Germany.
Flashy vampire flick.
English dub titled We Are The Night suffers poor voice actors.

I was obsessed with the second one as a kid due to the gothic imagery. Still worth a watch, I'd say.

Let's Scare Jessica to Death from 1971 is an absolute must! A really excellent supernatural horror film viewed from a feminist perspective.
This is one of the best horror movies I´ve seen...

If you're a wizard, why do you wear glasses?

This involves a vague supernatural element but still strikes me as the most brutal, hopeless, just really evil horror movie I've seen in awhile.
My thoughts as well.
I felt bad after watching this one.
Rarely a movie can do this to me.

If you're a wizard, why do you wear glasses?

This is a scary, mean movie. I've never forgotten it.

Roger Corman's A Bucket of Blood is an intelligent and amusing satire of beatnik/artist culture.

YES! So awesome, I get in a good mood every time I see Dick Miller appear in a film after watching this classic!
