"The Frolic" - Film Production Update

The Frolic film translation enters into post production!
The following update, complete with production stills, was received directly from Brandon Trenz:

The Frolic
director: Jacob Cooney
producers: Jane Kosek, Jade DeCosta (Wonder Entertainment)
screenwriters: Thomas Ligotti and Brandon Trenz (based on the short story by Ligotti)
starring: Maury Sterling (John Doe); Michael Reilly Burke (Dr. Munck); Jennifer Aspen (Leslie Munck)

Having reviewed an early cut, Ligotti himself described The Frolic as 'magnificent' and 'very much how I saw the story in my head over 25 years ago'.

Post-production work on The Frolic should continue through the summer. Producers Jane Kelly Kosek and Jade DeCosta hope to debut the short film at festivals in early 2007."

Thanks for this news, Dr. Bantham. It's definitely a film I can't wait to see and I'm terribly excited!

My story NOWHERE TO GO was published by PS PUBLISHING in a book titled POSTSCRIPTS #14 in England in 2008. Let me know if you've read it. I self-published eight short stories on audio-cassette in 1999 titled, fittingly, BARRY WOOD'S SHORT STORIES. And a few other short stories in little obscure publications -- which I forget their titles.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if this turned into a cult film and then became very, very famous if its done right.

Do the doctors keep getting younger or do I keep getting older? Don't answer that!
