Are You A Vegetarian?
I'm just curious as to how many members here at TLO practice vegetarianism as a personal means of helping to minimize suffering.


Just to be clear: I have absolutely no interest, whatsoever, in debating this topic. I've seen the subject mentioned briefly in various threads throughout the forums here, and I'm just curious as to the ratio of vegetarians to non-vegetarians here at TLO. Thanks in advance for indulging and satiating my inquisitiveness on this subject.

I'm a vegan also. I decided to use 'vegetarian' as an umbrella term for all plant-based (non-meat) diets, as Wikipedia lists veganism as a variety of vegetarianism. All the same, I probably should've specified. My apologies for the misunderstanding.

Vegetarian for nearly a quarter-century. Like Sand, my vegetarianism is near-vegan, but admittedly not completely vegan.
