Re: New interview with Mark Samuels

An interesting interview. Mark takes a firm stand against scientific materialism. I think he has stated that he is Catholic. I believe that Quentin and Matt also lean towards the mystical. Ligotti has rebuked organized religion as bureaucratic exploitation, I believe. It is interesting to see how their philosophical/spiritual beliefs are reflected in their fiction.

I was finally able to order my copy of Glyphotech just this week. It is one of the books that I have really looked forward to this year. I have read a handful of the stories already and they were all outstanding.

Mark is also interviewed in the current issue of Midnight Street magazine. And his story "A Gentleman From Mexico" is included, as well.

Re: New interview with Mark Samuels

FYI -'Vrolyck' (the title of one of Samuels' stories) is the sixteenth century spelling of the Dutch word 'vrolijk', which means 'joyous' or 'cheerful'.
