Sinatra Big Fan of Lovecraft's "The Haunter of the Dark"

Who knew! I was doing some research on the story when I came across a reprint of an old story from The Providence Journal.

Looking Back: In 1984, Frank Sinatra Jr. sings praises of well-crafted songs - News - providencejournal.com - Providence, RI

"And now the end is near. Cthulhu fhtagn!"

Re: Sinatra Big Fan of Lovecraft's "The Haunter of the Dark"

Lovecraft's fans have always been a diverse bunch. I remember Allan Ginsberg mentioning in an interview that Dylan was asking him about Lovecraft; "Who knows where that will lead?" he said.
I think I read about Sinatra Junior's fondness for "The Haunter..." a long time ago. Thanks for reminding me, Arthur.

Guess I need to read a little more closely. Sinatra, Jr. Still, interesting that he's so taken with "The Haunter of the Dark."

Thanks for sharing the article, that was interesting. I chuckled when I read this:
"Every time I think I see the end to freakishness, something else comes along. Punk Rock - and now female impersonators."
