Re: Chomu Press

Anyone else had the premonition that The Dracula Press, could be something of a continuation to The Wounds of Exile (not storywise, rather I was pondering the slight hints concerning vampirism in the novella)? Can't really go around saying anything yet at this point, but this was really a thought which just instantly occured in my mind.

Looking forward to it though.

Here's what Mr Oliver said elsewhere when asked if the Dracula Papers was an extension of Wounds of Exile:

"Correct. The work is episodic & picaresque within the context of a grand overall structure. I wanted to write a historical Gothic work following in the tradition of Melmoth and The Monk (my favourite gothic novel) using modern scholarship and insight to offer a perspective on the sixteenth century. (Note that Vlad the Impaler is a fifteenth century figure, so this is not about he, though some aspects of his life have been used.) The incidents of TWOE can stand alone but will make more sense and have more resonance in the context of the first volume of which TWOE constitutes about a fifth."

Not yet.

It might take some time.

Re: Chomu Press

Might Justin's remix of Italiannetto appear in this anthology? It would seem the right kind of place for it.

You read my mind. It's certainly a candidate.
