Re: What book are you most looking forward to?
First and foremost, Stefan Grabinski's entry in the Masters of the Weird Tale series from Centipede Press.
Thanks, Speaking Mute, I hadn't caught that one yet - A Centipede edition of Grabinski should be really amazing. Now at the top of my list also!

Re: What book are you most looking forward to?
Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, infamously predicted Trump would win the presidential election. He has an interesting take on things. I have been watching his interviews on this subject for better than six months. He has, unfortunately, morphed into a Trump apologist, even to the point of appearing on Fox News. He views Trump as grand strategist and a master of mass hypnosis! In an interview with Dave Rubin, he comes across as a bit of a flake. Yesterday, Sam Harris released his podcast conversation with him. It was very entertaining. Adams wrote a book on our current state of affairs. I am definitely going to read this one. I think he is full of it, but the book should be fun. I have always enjoyed Dilbert. I would classify it as corporate horror akin to Kafka's absurdism.

Also looking forward to Egaeus Press titles. They've been pretty consistent with my tastes.

Dilbert is so hilarious and dead-on. It's disconcerting that Adams evidently identifies with what he satirizes so perfectly. I'm sure this book is astute, but I'm also sure it would make my blood boil. We're in free-fall.

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

Re: What book are you most looking forward to?
None. These days all my love is for my cats, guitars and a six year old gray cts coupe (still the most beautiful and exhilerating thing I've ever seen).
With age, priorities can change, sometimes drastically. I still love and reread the Old Masters but contemporary stuff leaves me cold save for a handful of authors.

Re: What book are you most looking forward to?
Nothing, really. I rarely have the inclination to read fiction anymore and when I do it's most satisfyingly satiated by works I have already read. The only things I really crave these days are silence and farming.

Does anyone have any information on the progress of the English translation of Zapffe's On the Tragic? That would be my number one book of interest.
Silence and farming sound like heaven to me.

Ben, farming does sound like heaven but as a Pennsylvania boy I recall Tom Wait's words, "There's always some killin' you gotta do around the farm." LOL.
