Re: D.F. Lewis

If anyone would like to edit a collection of my stories (new or old stories - but not in the 'Weirdmonger' book) - eg choosing the stories from the internet links , ie. for that editor or me then to tout round potential publishers (about 80,000 words in total).... (Following 'Weirdmonger' (Prime Books 2003) where I chose the stories, I do not feel able to choose them for any new book)....

Or if anyone would like to publish one or more of my novellas or novels...

then please feel free to do so.

This is suggested in all humility, and with very little common sense, but a suggestion I may one day regret not having pushed more forcibly into the public arena...

I have not submitted any DFL works (off my own bat) directly to any publisher since 1999. This post seems the optimum way to mark the ten year anniversary of that abstinence.

Links for stories or novels etc:
http://www.wordonymous.esmartdesign.com/

Meanwhile I shall get on with publishing the Nemonymous project... which is far more important than anyone publishing DFL.

Re: D.F. Lewis

Lettuce Weggs, my ward of court (they never did find her parents in the wake of that unexplained Thames estuary incident), has offered to edit a D.F. Lewis collection. Her suggested selection criteria involve using a dozen keywords to locate appropriate stories. However, when she gave me the list of keywords, 'appropriate' was not the word that came to mind. I'm frankly astonished that someone of her tender years even knows such words or where to look them up. I blame the Internet.

Excellent, Des. I look forward to going through this bibliography tonight.

Hopefully a publisher will pounce at your new collection. It's been too long since Weirdmonger.

Thanks, Richard.
I am very pleased to report that it is planned that the ultimate all-encompassing last-bow DFL fiction collection will be published during 2010 by Ex Occidente.

Thanks, HH

Having now been reminded of that list, I've just re-read the first story on it:
http://weirdmonger.blog-city.com/all..._are_happy.htm
which I had otherwise completely forgotten about.
It seems strangely premonitory of the CERN ZOO book cover which I had not even thought about at all then on January Second!!

Re: All Endings Are Happy

Quite an enjoyable baffle, as usual.

The conflict having been interrupted by the third dreamer, all that remains are a finger each of the monster and its victim which are fragments of their greater intellects and beings. One might speculate that the fingers may have been arranged in a 'V' pattern, representing 'peace,' but the dreamer does not supply this information. Assuming that their fragmented consciousnesses, symbolized by the two fingers, can not operate independently from their engines, a kind of stoical happy ending is predictable; however, the subtext makes me imagine that the pneumatic phalanges might hop up and continue their struggle by finger-wrestling with each other.
