My review of THE KING IN A GOLDEN MASK by Marcel Schwob has just been completed - with its climax of the amazing CHILDREN'S CRUSADE....

I am convinced this author (1867-1905) tapped into the King in Yellow Lethal Chambers as well as a unique fantasy world of skeleton, death bird and more.

Wakefield Press is due to release a new, uncensored and unabridged translation of Schwob's The King in the Golden Mask within a week or so - one of the stories from the new translation has been posted at Tank Magazine:

Just for the record, The King in the Golden Mask predates Chambers' The King in Yellow and was published while Chambers was studying painting in France.
