Charles Miguel Riaz

Where to post, where to post? And who knows... is this general discussion, Relative to Ligotti, or merely a Ligottian Dream?

I search for an Excerpt From the Dreams of the Zodiac. Who doesn't?

Louis Miguel Riaz wrote it, but Thomas certainly knows where it is. [Edit: Corrected my Miguel Riaz; Charles is 'Postscript' from Grimoire #4, and Louis is 'Excerpt...' from Grimoire #2. Thank you bendk...]

The Blonde came to light recently, against all odds; might this early version of The Physic do the same?

I found my copy of Grimoire #2 and reread it. The problem is, I can't find my paperback copy of Noctuary (1994) to compare the text to "The Physic." I don't see it listed in the kindle book of the Subterranean edition.

* Edit - The title was changed in the Subterranean edition to "The Premature Transfiguration" and with the exception of some text variations it is the largely the same story, or prose poem. Also, in the Grimoire magazine it is attributed to Louis Miguel Riaz.

Re: Charles Miguel Riaz

I have a cool version of The Blonde: A Sonnet, inscribed in a book that Tom sent me years ago. I will post a pic of it, perhaps later today or tomorrow.

Re: Charles Miguel Riaz

Here is a copy of The Shadow at the Bottom of the World within which Tom inscribed "The Blonde: A Sonnet". Since it was mentioned above, I thought it would be a nice place to put it.

Just right click on the icon, open in a new tab, and use the magnify feature to better read it.

Re: Charles Miguel Riaz

It appears I have my Miguel Riazes (how to pluralise..?) mixed up, but either way, I'd still love to read that initial version of the story, however similar it is.

And thank you for the picture of 'The Blonde: A Sonnet'; I have to say Mr. Ligotti's handwriting is quite wonderful.
