HPL and an Unpleasant Woman
Hypocrisy has never been confined to any one political party but the case of Margaret Sanger is amazing.
Sanger was a woman of fierce intelligence and extreme Left wing views but her most unpleasant views belonged to no American political party. She wanted to make abortion available to poor woman especially blacks and minorities. She had a reason. She hoped, by doing so, the 'inferior' races would willingly participate in a voluntary 'genocide.' She wished for the elimination of non-whites and dedicated her life to it. Of course, it backfired. Poor minorities were, it turned out, less likely to opt for abortion than young white women. In her eighties, in an interview with Mike Wallace (still floating around out there) she showed she hadn't mellowed in the least. She was nothing if not relentlessly honest and she still wished for the elimination of non-whites. She was a true heir to Adolph Hitler. She believed in the removal of 'defective' children. She talked of camps where they could peacefully starve to death. Later she claimed she was for 'humane' euthanasia. Margaret Sanger was the founder of Planned Parenthood. Now I'm pro-choice--or pro-death, either way you put it is fine--and I'm not condemning today's Planned Parenthood in any way. Sometimes, by Chance, good comes out of evil--but that doesn't make the original act any less evil. I'm talking about hypocrisy and fuzzy logic. There were (and probably still are) awards given out in her name. No one, to the best of my knowledge, has ever protested. Unlike Lovecraft, she wished to wipe out these human blemishes and she put her plan into effect. The people who protested the Lovecraft award on Facebook have never raised their voice against the awards given out in Sanger's name. That's my only point. The Wiki page is pretty much a white wash but Angela Davis got iy right: While New York University's Margaret Sanger Papers Project, argues that in writing that letter, "Sanger recognized that elements within the black community might mistakenly associate the Negro Project with racist sterilization campaigns in the Jim Crow South;"[103] Angela Davis uses the quote to support claims that Sanger intended to exterminate the black population.[104] --Wiki She worked hand in hand wirh the black community and was praised by MLK. But the Wallace interview tells it all. She was as honest as she was brilliant.

Re: HPL and an Unpleasant Woman
Far more shocking than Sanger's views is Wallace's hilarious plugging of Philip Morris cigarettes at the beginning of the interview:

Re: HPL and an Unpleasant Woman
I've just watched the interview, in fact. I can't catch every word, because it's crackly and she has a fairly strong accent, but I didn't hear anything about the elimination of non-whites. Is this the same interview? I just wondered what exactly she'd said.

Re: HPL and an Unpleasant Woman
I like her.
Mike Wallace has an archive of cringe-inducing shows. The one on Hugh Hefner where he admits that he viewed him as the Devil trying to subvert the republic. The Homosexuals! etc. This should get the righties going:

The following post is not to be considered a statement one way or another re the morality of abortion.
