Re: T.E.D. Klein

In the book The Gothic Imagination. Conversationas on Fantasy, Horror and Science Fiction in the Media there is an interview with Klein (I think it is basically what was said in the podcast but with some updates from 2010) and there he mentions that he "may have a thing or two left two say. God knows I'm still filling notebooks with odd little ideas."

Re: T.E.D. Klein

Not to invoke the spirit of Keanu Reeves, but: Whoa. That's news indeed. Maybe Klein has said such things elsewhere before, but this is the first I've heard of it. Great catch, and thank you for passing it along, Masonwire. I consider this to be a legitimately momentous piece of intel.

Re: T.E.D. Klein

Children of the Kingdom is a gem unto itself. Interestingly enough, the subtle xenophobia of the narrator (among other nice touches) gives the work a depth and authenticity not found in contemporary horror fiction.

Re: T.E.D. Klein

Following Masonwire's link to my book on T.E.D. Klein - and that wonderful Rudimentary Peni-like avatar - a brief announcement to say that it's now available.

Though invested in critical theory/cultural studies, the monograph is ultimately a celebration of my favorite horror writer. Also examined are texts by Karl Edward Wagner, Joyce Carol Oates, and my favorite Jameses (M.R. and Henry), among others. Appendices include an exclusive interview with Klein and an expanded version of "The Singular Ceremonies" from Zagava's excellent Booklore.

Hails!
