Re: Chomu Press

Somewhere in a garret, amidst the hoary steeples and gleaming spires of a university town, a scholar lays down his pen and gazes with a mixture of satisfaction and apprehension at the first biography of The Descendant of Attila and Scourge of God. Meanwhile, several oceans apart, a jaded linguist takes a break from transcribing The Sutra of Immeasurable Life And Wisdom to set down a volume chronicling the decadence of the last days of Classical Antiquity and other studies only to be discussed below the rose:

The Reggie Oliver novel (which may or may not bare a connection to a theme started in another of his recent offerings) and Brendan Connell's ever eclectic short story collection are now unveiled along with tentative release dates:

The Dracula Papers, Book I: The Scholar's Tale

The Life of Polycrates and Other Stories for Antiquated Children

On a differant note

Re: Chomu Press

That's very exciting news indeed! And I adore the title of Brendan Connell's collection! I'm just sorry Justin's book is being pushed back from an October release.

Re: Chomu Press

Thanks, everyone.

More titles will be announced before long.

Human Flesh was pushed back, unfortunately, because of a change in policy regarding the promotion of the books. Chomu is hoping to give the books every possible chance of a wide audience, and there were some things that required a longer time-scale.

It's regrettable, as it'll never be too soon to read Human Flesh, but there it is.

Anyway, keep watching the website.

Thanks again.

Re: Chomu Press

Where's the pre-order button, dammit? The only thing that could make this announcement closer to perfection would be a new novel by Richard Staines!

I'm not sure the great Staines has any unpublished work. Chomu should keep an ear to the ground, no doubt.

I think that pre-orders will be possible through Amazon when the books are registered there. I'll have to check this.

Re: Chomu Press

Another book was added to the upcoming releases page-

Revenants

Sounds interesting. Is this Daniel Mills' first published work?

First novel, I believe. One of his stories was in Strange Tales III. Revenants is highly recommended, by me.

Incidentally, to give more information on the pre-order thing that was mentioned before, two Chomu books are actually now currently available for pre-order somewhere on the internet. However, The Dracula Papers (being one of them) has the wrong price on it, so this has to be fixed and people are advised not to pre-order that one yet. Here's the other:

http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndS...=9781907681011

I expect more places will make the books available for pre-order according to their individual policies.

Re: Chomu Press

If the release schedule continues to be that impressive, Chomu might well become one of my favourite publishers of contemporary fiction.
