Thanks for the information. I didn't know he'd written one. It seems to be called Tales of a Rascal: What I Did for Love and it looks fascinating.

I was about to say the same thing. Blue Velvet is my favorite, but Wild At Heart is another. Willem Defoe's portrayal of Bobby Peru is unforgettable. I love that movie.

I doubt he would disagree with your uncle, except in the humble consent to maybe not being the BIGGEST.

His movies never fail to inspire. I can't finish one of his films and not feel the need to get up and create something myself, with the knowledge it won't compare but still inspirational.

Bobby Perue and Frank are both powerful and frightening.

He is a master of so much, even comic strips. His Angriest Dog in the World is excellent.

I hope he gets motivated by his time returning to Twin Peaks and starts putting out full length features again.

"My dog...barks...some."

Given enough time we all become psychopomps.

I've ordered a copy.
For sheer outrageousness, Klaus Kinski's autobiography takes some beating.

Re: David Lynch

I have to wonder if this Twin Peaks continuation will live up to its predecessor. Lightning seldom strikes twice in the same place. My fingers are crossed!

I'm approaching it with tempered expectations. I'm such a fan of Lynch that I can't imagine not really enjoying it. The original has the advantage of nostalgia for me, so season three is already at a disadvantage. Still, I expect some degree of excellence.

Re: David Lynch

I am a little bit disappointed with Michael J. Anderson not returning to Twin Peaks, but he appears to have gone a little over the edge:

Michael J. Anderson Accuses Twin Peaks Filmmaker David Lynch of Being a Pedophile Rapist Murderer - AlternativeNation.net

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.
