Re: Eibonvale Press

Hi Murony, Yes David Rix does the artwork and design. I believe this book is about to be sent to the printers now... For the PS Dr Black book - Yes, I will mention it. I hope it does come out soon, as I think it is a worthwhile book. Though most of the material has been published elsewhere, much of it hasn't. Also everything in it has been revised to some extent.

Re: Eibonvale Press

Just a quick update on this. The book is off to the printers today. There was one change which I will mention: Originally the interior was 2 color text (dark red text with lime-green footnotes). Unfortunately, just when we were ready to send this off the printer said that for this kind of color they only offered two paper types, and that they could not do sewn binding. Neither of the papers inspired us with confidence and we felt the binding to be important. So we decided to opt for a very high quality paper and sewn binding and forgo the color text. This was a hard decision to make, but, ultimately it is probably the right one as the paper is such an important part of the book. If for some reason anyone ordered based simply on the colored interior of course a refund can be offered. That said I think the book will be beautiful. For those interested in paper, this is Munken Pure 120gsm.

Re: Eibonvale Press

I received my copies of Miss Homicide Plays the Flute and the accompanying chapbook today. Very handsome, and from a quick flip through the first pages of the novel it looks to be the usual strange, challenging, fascinating Connell fare.

Noonday Stars: a blog about horror fiction. Recent content includes essay on the new edition of Ligotti's The Agonizing Resurrection of Victor Frankenstein and Other Gothic Tales.

Re: Eibonvale Press

I received my copy, with chapbook, yesterday. They are both lovely. The chapbook puts me in mind of zines I used to collect in the 90s, somehow, with a nostalgic DIY aesthetic.

Re: Eibonvale Press

I have now accepted three more chapbooks for the Eibonvale chapbook line. I shall reveal more details later, but for now, I am very happy to welcome three excellent short works by Ian Kappos (Crossfaded in Narnia), Gaurav Monga (Family Matters) and David Gullen (Third Instar). I will not be rushing these out immediately like last time – Rosanne Rabinowitz’s collection Resonance and Revolt is definitely the next project on the list – but I hope to get them out in the first half of this year.

And if you still have submissions with me, this doesn’t mean it’s over. I am still reading and making selections – and still keen to receive more as well, especially from women authors. Check the Eibonvale Press website for more details
