Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

Oooh, so Mother Nature needs a favor?! Well maybe she should have thought of that when she was besetting us with droughts and floods and poison monkeys! Nature started the fight for survival, and now she wants to quit because she’s losing. Well I say ‘hard cheese.’

I accidently found this video on Youtube recently. I haven't thought of William Ian Miller for years, and I had never heard him speak before. He's funny in a morbid sort of way.
I read his book The Anatomy of Disgust many years ago. I enjoyed it but I hesitate to recommend it because some of the more gross descriptions have not left me over the years. Some of it is quite funny and it is often insightful. I remember one line (I'm paraphrasing) "I love my wife even though she's disgusting."
Thanks for posting the video. I like his humor and have never heard of his book before.
