Green Man Review loves Subterranean's SODD

Richard Dansky positive glows with enthusiasm in his review of the new Songs of a Dead Dreamer for Green Man Review. This is great to see.

Excerpts:

Quote
The new edition, courtesy of Subterranean Press, can best be described as "remastered," a definitive take on the collection.

And let me say, it's about time.

....This is cosmic horror in the truest sense of the word, unconcerned with monsters or family curses or any of the trappings of the more parochial expressions of the genre. Instead, it harkens back to the works of Lovecraft and Aickman in its breadth of scope and conception. Readers looking for vampires and werewolves will be sadly disappointed; those looking for something other, literally and figuratively, will undoubtedly find this collection to be one of their most treasured reads.

Matt, that review has me salivating. Literally. THANK you!

Re: Green Man Review loves Subterranean's SODD

I think people who truly love Tom's work and appreciate his brilliance as a writer will feel particularly satisfied with this very definitive edition. Ordinarily, one has to question whether or not it's a good idea to tinker around with perfection, but Tom has managed to do something special here; polish up a pile of precious gems to an even greater luster than before. There's something extraordinary about that, I would suggest.

I tell you everything that is really nothing, and nothing of what is everything, do not be fooled by what I am saying. Please listen carefully and try to hear what I am not saying. ~Charles C. Finn

Re: Green Man Review loves Subterranean's SODD

This review excites me even more about receiving my copy. Does anybody know when Subterranean will start shipping? I just noticed that the limited edition is now listed as being sold out on the website.
