I apologise for not vocalising my almost visceral hatred of Blaise Pascal.
I apologise for not doing any more work on the script for Speculative Realist Movie (‘they’re keeping it real, speculatively real’).
I apologise for having spent so many hours of my adolescence reading third rate weird fiction when I could have been reading Tolstoy or Aeschylus.
I apologise for the existence of True Detective and the fact that the world probably hasn’t heard the last of it.
I apologise for not having cultivated a more prodigious and baroque array of facial hair – special apologies to Husserl and Frege on this point.
I apologise for not attempting to save the works of H.P. Lovecraft from the Lovecraftians, the dullest cult imaginable.
I apologise for having wasted time and money on gimmicky projects when it would have been better used to help friends.

Apparently Brian Cox, who plays keyboards on this, later apologised because it was not a scientifically accurate song, the message of the lyrics being contrary to the second law of thermodynamics.

He would have done better to apologise for it being musical pigswill.

I appreciate your apologies, Evan. However, being of old age, with another reminder coming this Saturday, for my own part, I will not apologize for anything, even less so for being since I was never consulted. My mother told me once in the prime of childhood that I was a mistake. Being a mistake absolves one from making apologies. I think E.M. Cioran had a similar experience, and I doubt that he apologized for anything.
