Re: "Remember You're a One-Ball!"

I'm intending to finish formatting the initial revised document of the novel today. Hopefully a cover will be ready by the end of the week. If I can post an image of the cover here, I shall.

I've noticed this thread only now and the news is great. I hope we will learn more about the upcoming book soon.

Hello. Yes. It's still underway. Inevitably there were delays. We got the printed proof copies back, and in terms of design they look great. However, for various reasons we've decided to set up with a different POD company, which we are in the process of doing at the moment. I'll see if I can post the cover image somewhere, though, since that already exists.

I think the current estimate is that the book will be available in about a month.

Here's a blurb that Mark Samuels was kind enough to provide, and which will be used in press release material:

Quote
Unpublished for far too long, "Remember You're A One Ball" is a work of profound insight into childhood and the long shadow it casts over adulthood. Its fearless, brutal honesty and the superlative quality of the prose are virtually without peer. This novel confirms me in my belief that Crisp is the most important writer of his generation.

Indeed, a generation of writers I admire greatly as the most important generation of writers.

Re: "Remember You're a One-Ball!"

Brief update.

Changing the printing company has given us another chance to proofread, which is what I've been doing. That is now almost finished, so the corrected version should be ready for its trial upload today or tomorrow. Then, assuming the upload works, we'll have to wait for more printed proof copies. (I don't know how long that will take.) If there are no problems with these copies then we can activate the upload, or whatever the correct term is, and the book should be available before too long.
