Fritz Leiber
One of the greats. Most of his short stories are available as cheap paperbacks from Open Road Integrated Media, Inc. and are highly recommendable: Smoke Ghost and Other Apparitions - The Black Gondolier and Other Stories - Horrible Imaginings - Day Dark, Night Bright.
His Dark Ladies novels Conjure Wife and Our Lady of Darkness have been republished by Orb Books, and The Dealings of Daniel Kesserich by Tor Books. And I came across this interview: Are there any other books by Fritz Leiber worth seeking out? Do you have any favourite stories or novels?

Re: Fritz Leiber
I am not a fan of sword and sorcery or Tolkein type fantasy, but the Lankhmar series, with Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, is in a league by itself. No one can write this stuff like Leiber, except maybe Karl Edward Wagner. The world of Nehwon is a place to enjoy getting lost.

This book also looks interesting. Fritz Leiber and H.P. Lovecraft: Writers of the Dark
It contains a selection of Leiber's Lovecraftian stories, including his long-form poem The Demons of the Upper Air, as well as some of his essays on HPL.

Re: Fritz Leiber
I agree with Leiber about witchcraft. It's been a source of fascination for me. His novel Conjure Wife is a great story and Our Lady of Darkness right behind.

Re: Fritz Leiber
That interview is brutal to watch.
The amateurish interviewer doesn't help. Leiber seems in pretty rough shape and would pass away shortly after the time of that interview. He was one of the Greats. The Whisperer in Darkness was Leiber's favorite Lovecraft story. If you read The Black Gondolier closely you might see its a brilliant reworking of the Whisperer just as that story was, in some ways, a brilliant reworking of Machen's Black Seal.
