Re: Twin Peaks - Series 3

Loved seeing Big Ed and Norma together. I find them both very warm screen presences.

Re: Twin Peaks - Series 3

Tonight's episode was the third super episode in a row.
We're accelerating to who knows what?
I can't wait to find out

Spoilery Stuff:

He's Back!
At long last Dale Cooper has returned!

My favorite line tonight:
"People are under a lot of stress Bradley"

We got confirmation that things are definitely not what they seem with Audrey.

I loved the use of the original series music in tonight's episode especially Audrey's dance.

The closing credits with the backwards version of Audrey's dance was appropriately creepy.

I wonder if Dale is making a Tulpa for Janie-E and Sonny Jim?

My favorite dialogue:
"You are manufactured"
"I know. #### you."

I want Mr. Zawaski to do my taxes

Man waffles, what an episode. I literally yelled out during a certain hospital scene.

Every black lodge scene this season has sent shivers over my body. They are so gorgeous, and I actually prefer the One Armed Man over The Man From Another Place now as the gatekeeper (very bad description of his role, as I don't quite understand it, lol). Such an arresting visual and the way he appears in carpets or on chair cushions is just so damn awesome.

Me last night - "Ha ha, told you fools Audrey wasn't dreaming!" "Oh ####, she was dreaming."

And definitely looks like Coop ordered a new Dougie for Janey E and Sonny Jim. He exchanged a lock of hair for a new gold "seed". Ha ha, this show is nuts!

Re: Twin Peaks - Series 3

I never, ever liked watching Jim Belushi in anything. I cringed when I realized he would be in this. But damn, Lynch has done the unthinkable. I LOVE watching Jim Belushi in this. The Mitchum Brothers are so entertaining.

I never realized how hated he is until Twin Peaks The Return. I love Belushi and was excited when I saw his name in the cast. He seemed like the perfect candidate for one of Lynch's bumbling crooks, which he essentially is. But he and his brother have turned out to be much more than that. Who would have thought Jim Belushi would (at least it seems) be in charge of getting Dale Cooper back to Twin Peaks?

I like the left field face turn the Mitchum brothers have received. It reminds me of how Albert shifted in the original run.

Re: Twin Peaks - Series 3

I'm pleased and cautiously excited by the last few episodes, though as yet still unsure whether it will be possible to pull all the strands together in time. If they'd introduced some of the revelations e.g. Richard's true origins, a couple of episodes earlier it would have been

- What is the point of the Steven and Gersten plot? (Ditto for Shelley's new criminal lover). I had assumed the 'designer drugs in Twin Peaks' plotline was going to lead back to Dark Cooper and his activities (given that the spirit mythology is influenced by Shamanism it could have been that these drugs would bring the users into contact with the denizens of the Black Lodge).

- Shame Richard Horne appears to be out of it now; his story was just starting to become interesting. Still hoping he might appear in the Black Lodge.

- Sarah Palma was, along with Cooper himself, one of the few 'gifted' individuals who could see BOB's true face. I wonder if she will be the one who distinguishes the fake Cooper from the true.

Re: Twin Peaks - Series 3

S3 wasn't as perfect as S1 (I never liked Frank Truman, and some other elements fell flat for me), but the Dougie plot was the heart of what it was all about and some of the finest TV I have ever seen.
