Psychoville

Been rewatching Psychoville, Steve Pemberton and Reece Searsmith's tale of a misanthropic clown, psychotic nurse, telekinetic dwarf and various other grotesques. Funny, creepy and at times strangely touching. The bottle episode inspired by Rope is brilliant.

Re: Psychoville

I loved Psychoville, but the first series is vastly superior than the second. What Oscar Lomax does with the puffed toy on the last episode of series one was one of the best scenes, a really touching moment; everything involving Mr. Jelly is awesome. Also, the Halloween special ties both series very nicely.

Psychoville also left me with a big crush for Daisy Haggard, who plays Debbie Hart; she is fantastic. Seriously, watch this series. It's the Freaks of the 21st century.

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

Re: Psychoville

I'm not sure if I ever saw the Halloween special. It's on the series 2 DVD but apparently it's an edited version, the full-length version is available separately.

And are you seriously saying you fancied Debbie over Maureen?

Re: Psychoville

Well, I would also fancy Maureen, but only if I needed a cool overprotective mother like her.

Re: Psychoville

Maureen is the sexiest woman in the series. Closely followed by Hattie.

Re: Psychoville

You seem... weird. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Re: Psychoville

Yeah; I get that a lot too. When I was younger it used to bother me, but not anymore, because I figured, "Hell, I am weird."

Re: Psychoville

Watched the Halloween special. Still not entirely sure if I'd seen it before. Most of it seemed unfamiliar but I had a couple of strong moments of deja vu.

Re: Psychoville

Mr. Jelly's story in the Halloween special was one the creepiest things I'd ever seen; it freaked me out.
