Re: Eibonvale Press

(On a sidenote, there are only 9 of the chapbook copies left... of course after that there are still the regular copies....which are not that regular)

Re: Eibonvale Press

contents--mostly, please...it was a little vague as to whether or not this is a collection, novel or what. Though I guess if you are offering a contents list, it is probably a new collection---goody!

Miss Homicide presumably isn't running an animal circus?

Re: Eibonvale Press

No, actually, this is a novel. It is not a long novel, but is a proper novel (at least for me it is). I wrote it in Switzlerland and it takes place completely in Europe. There are no circus animals in it. No carnivals. It is what I would call a crime novel, but a sort of rebours crime novel . . . but that also isn’t a very accurate thing to say. Possibly cerebral would be a better word? Or possibly not. The themes are mainly murder, music, and, to a much lesser degree, prostitution. The latter of course not in the banal sense of the word. The chapbook that goes with the first copies is a collection of 23 prose poems. If it is any help, I made this trailer using some flute music by David Rix:

Re: Eibonvale Press

I ordered this yesterday, so hopefully I should be getting one of the chapbooks. I emailed David Rix, just to make sure, but haven't heard back from him yet. But the fact that there were nine left AFTER I ordered is encouraging. I'm so paranoid about these limited edition things, however. If it wasn't for TLO, I wouldn't have even known this was being released at all, so thank you for posting about this yesterday, Brendan. Without regularly checking this site, I would have missed out on so much. It's terrible for my bank account, but ever so beneficial to the dark nurturing of my soul.

Re: Eibonvale Press

Hell's horses, I now have THREE Brendan Connell titles pre-ordered!
You're certainly knocking them out.
Might we see the Dr. Black one from PS anytime soon, while you are on a roll? I know it's been on the back-burner for a good while now.
I'm holding off buying Dr. Black and the Guerrillia, which I presume will be in there?

Re: Eibonvale Press

Hi Vapidleopard, Thank you! Yes, Dr Black and the Guerrillia will be in the PS Collection, though I retitled it. But the whole thing is there. They have the whole manuscript, so it is just a matter of getting the cover design I think... Basically. I notice they mentioned it will be out in December. So, hopefully so. As for knocking them out, yes. And I hope to continue to knock them out. The unfinished projects I have that I am finishing are...a good number.

Re: Eibonvale Press

Looks great, Brendan. That's David himself who does the artwork for their books, isn't it?

Please dangle a line for all of your readers on here when the Dr. Black collection from P.S. is ready to drop. Thanks
